HTPB (hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene) manufactured to MIL-H-85497 is the go-to binder for composite solid rocket propellants, cast-cured with di-isocyanates to form a tough elastomer around AP and aluminium. The propellant-grade HTPB offers controlled hydroxyl value, low moisture, and long pot life. Available with 1% antioxidant AO2246 to provide a long shelf life.
